the mg comet ev, originally launched in 2023, has received several updates leading into 2025. as of january 2025, mg motor india announced a price increase for the latest comet ev models, with hikes ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹32,000, reflecting up to a 3.36% increase.
introducing the comet blackstorm edition
in february 2025, mg introduced the comet blackstorm edition, priced at ₹7.8 lakh (excluding battery ownership costs). this special edition features an all-black exterior with sporty red accents on the front fender, wheel caps, fog lamp surrounds, and side cladding. the front grille is blacked out, and “morris garages” branding is highlighted in red script.

the mg comet ev is powered by a 17.3 kwh battery, delivering an estimated range of 230 km on a full charge.
